The 150 trees building

a green architecture in the city

In Turin, Italy, since 2012 there is an amazing building where the trees live in harmony with the building and its inhabitants. This is the project 25 verde.

And if we imagined a new city? With less concrete, building of a new kind, where the concrete would disappear under the vegetation.

A dream come true in Italy, where the architect Luciano Pia had the good idea to build in 2007, at 25 Via Chabrera in Turin, the project 25 Verde. A 5-storey building dedicated to trees where nature is expressed in corridors, on the walls and on the balconies of 63 homes.

For his project, Luciano Pia has planted 150 trees of different varieties to create a dense and disparate plant screen. Today, the vegetation of the site has expanded, offering its inhabitants a thermal regulation, a natural shield against pollution and environmental noise.
